An Introduction to the field of Psychiatric Rehabilitation

About This Course
This course provides the learner with an overview of Psychiatric Rehabilitation, how it is defined and how it differs from other approaches to the treatment of mental health conditions, such as the medical model. The critical role of the service participant in setting personal goals and the connection between these goals and recovery is discussed. The course content is structured around the story of a young woman recovering from a serious mental health condition.
What makes this self-paced course unique is that it is very well-written and a case study is woven throughout the course. The case study uses a graphic design format.
