Northeast and Caribbean, Region 2

 

The Northeast & Caribbean MHTTC served New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands during the years of August 2018 and September 2024, providing training, technical assistance, and resource dissemination to support and enhance the mental health workforce.

What We Offered

The center was located at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, School of Health Professions, Department of Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Counseling Professions.

All our trainings and products were, and still are, available at NO COST. Visit our ARCHIVE website for other offerings.

Targeted Training

Targeted trainings for specific audiences such as providers, administrators, teachers, police and peers, delivered in-person and via online educational courses and webinars.

Podcasts

Mental health is a critical component of our lives, especially for professionals who support other people. Our podcast channel explores topics of interest to those people who support and help others such as health and behavioral health service providers.  These podcasts were produced by the Northeast and Caribbean Mental Health Technology Transfer Center (MHTTC) and funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.

Self-Paced Courses

We offered a number of self-paced courses on a variety of topics to include Provider Wellness, Illness Management and Recovery, Functional Contextual Thinking, Religion and Mental Health and more.  Check them out here.

Funding

Funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the MHTTC worked with organizations and practitioners who provide mental health services to strengthen their capacity to deliver effective, evidence-based interventions.  The grant ended in September of 2024.
